HISPANIC WORLDS FAIR Moro creates Hispanics Unite

Upon graduating from Rutgers, Luis became the executive director of the Hispanic Worlds Fair at the Jacob Javits Convention Center, founded by Hispanic Corporate Achievers, Inc Chairman Daniel Ramos. The Hispanic Worlds Fair was the first and longest running target marketing production in America focusing on the Hispanic Market.

Luis created and pioneered the breakthrough marketing campaign: “Hispanics United” which united efforts by government agencies, media, corporate sponsors, educational institutions, and employers to empower the U.S. Hispanic Population. The annual event instantly became the first major indoor event where all media and corporate sponsors united their efforts to benefit the U.S Hispanic population.

The Hispanic World’s Fair was anchored by local, national and global Latin entertainment reaching millions of Hispanics; giving Latinos the opportunity to learn how to empower themselves while simultaneously developing brand loyalty for the participating sponsors, organizations and political figures.

Accolades and continuous endorsements were given by political figures who had foresight into the future of the Hispanic market. Luis received proclamations from Sen. Bob Menendez, Mayor Rudy Giuliani, Mayor Koch, Mayor David Dinkins, then Governor Mario Cuomo and The United Nations amongst others.

Performing entertainers included Marc Anthony, Celia Cruz, Jose Feliciano, Charytin, Chayanne, TKA, The cover Girls, Yomo Toro, Charo, Latin Soap stars, radio personalities and Folkloric groups representing all Latin Countries.

The united media included; SBS Broadcasting, WADO, WBLS, Univision, Telemundo, El Diaro La Prensa, El Especial and most other Latin Media including The New York Times, ABC, NBC, CBS, HOT 103, Corporate sponsors included Coca-Cola, Pepsi, AT&T, Proctor and Gamble and many others.

A highlight of the annual production was Luis being the first and only producer to bring the most popular, longest running program on Latin Television, “Sabado Gigante” to present itself live from New York City in front of a sold out “United Hispanic” audience at the Jacob Javits Convention Center. This was the first and only time the Javits Center has been closed due to over crowding.
