WHISPERS LIKE THUNDER, the movie - 2009
Among Luis’s current writing/producing projects is Whispers Like Thunder a feature length film with SBK Pictures partners; Sir Ben Kingsley, Simone Sheffield and Valerie Hoffman. Luis co-wrote the screenplay for Whispers Like Thunder with Trip Brooks. Whispers is the true story of three Native American sisters who fought the U.S. government with guns, axes and the law to protect their Wyandot ancestor’s burial grounds.

VENUS & VEGAS, the movie - In theatres March 09
Moro produced the buddy comedy VENUS & VEGAS, which is scheduled to release in theatres March 2009. The film has an all-star ensemble cast starring Jamie Pressly, Eddie K. ANNE B. REAL, the movie - Independent Spirit Awards
Luis’s first notable Hollywood appearance was two Independent Spirit Award nominations for co-writing, Producing and acting in the award winning film Anne B. Real. Annie is the story of a female rapper inspired by the diaries of Anne Frank.
Luis also co-wrote all the lead actress Hip-Hop lyrics which garnered the actress several awards, most notably best actress at the American Black Film Festival and an Independent Spirit Award best actress nomination by Film Independent.

THE UNSEEN, the movie - A Cult Classic
Luis produced the cult classic, The Unseen, a southern Drama set in the deep south of Haralson, Georgia. Directed by award winner, Lisa France. The film stars an award winning ensemble cast with Gale Harold, Steve Harris, Phillip Bloch, Judah Friedlander, Catherine Dent, Michele Clunie and Shirley Caesar.

CUBA'S LOVE & SUICIDE, the movie - History making
Luis was nominated best actor at the American Black Film Festival for his co-starring role in the love story CUBA’S LOVE & SUICIDE starring Kamar de los Reyes and Daisy McCrackin. He also co-wrote and produced this Cuba film which played in the prestigious AMC Theatres Select Independent Film program for and unrivaled ten weeks.

CUBA FILM SERIES, on-going educational event
Cuba’s Love and Suicide made history by being the first and only full-length feature film shot on location in Havana, Cuba by American filmmakers in fifty years. The Cuba film also influenced the 2008 U.S. Elections by bringing the real Cuba and our failed U.S. Politics to the public forefront in the CUBA FILMS SERIES that toured the U.S. and other countries. Other films included Man of Two Havana and Havana KidZ.

COMICS UNITE, LOS ANGELES, CA Charity Event
For 9/11 at the World Famous Comedy Store, Luis created and produced Comics Unite: Healing the World with Laughter on November 12th 2001. A diverse group of comedians united to perform stand up comedy to assist 9/11 victims in the foodservice industry; waiters, busboys, bartenders, cooks, dishwashers who worked in and around The World Trade Centers, NYC. The event was hosted by comedian Bobbi Shropshire, with Jeff Altman, Luis Moro, Paul Mooney, and many more.

WORLD TR-AID911 - NYC 9/11 Gala Fundraiser
In response to 9/11, as founding partner and creator of Reve Entertainment Group, Luis Moro produced several benefits and galas in New York and Los Angeles for victims of 9/11. Funds benefited ‘Families of Freedom’, a non profit scholarship fund chaired by President Bill Clinton and George Bush Sr. The initial NYC benefit gala raised over $250,000.00 that benefited the children affected by 9/11. The concert dinner event included performances and tributes by Chevy Chase, Denis Leary, Barry Manilow, Gabriel Byrne, Joan Osborne, Hallie Eisenberg, and many others.
Luis Moro followed up with ‘Families of Freedom II’ with performances by Natalie Cole, Felicia Collins and Paul Shaffer with The CBS Orchestra, Robert Klein, Paula Cole, Peter Criss (Kiss) with support from Major League Baseball Moro’s team raised six million dollars for scholarships allocated to families living below Houston Street effected by 9/11.

CUBAN ACTIVIST, humanitarian work.
Luis is an expert on modern day Cuban politics. He’s an active activist for normalizing relationships with Cuba. Luis has been on CNN, NBC, CBS, Univision, Telemundo, multiple regional shows. Articles on Luis have appeared in many newspapers, magazine and The Associated Press. Luis is also regular writer for The Immigrant Magazine. Moro's been invited to Washington, DC to lobby for normalizing relationship with Cuba.
Luis met with President Barack Obama and presented the case for Obama winning Florida by coming out first and fast on normalizing relationships with Cuba. Moro's film Cuba's Love & Suicide was given directly to President Obama and his Washington, DC Senatorial staff by Moro as clear evidence towards speaking out against the current U.S. Policies towards Cuba. Moro's advice worked and was one of the foundations that gave President Barack Obama an unprecedented victory in Florida, especially in heavily populated Cuban districts.

BACK IN THE DAY, Know your Moro.
Born in Saint Antonio de los Banos, Cuba, Moro exiled with his mother to Mexico City, Mexico. From Mexico, Luis and his mother migrated to the United States. He grew up between Union City, NJ and Washington Heights, New York. He attended high school at Union Hill High School in Union City and College at Rutgers University, both in New Jersey. Luis is an all around athlete excelling and accumulating state awards in football, basketball, track and field.

NEW JERSEY POLITICS, You gotta be kidding me
During his Jersey days Luis was active in politics; organizing and fundraising for now Senator Robert “Bob” Menendez when he become the first Cuban-American congressman in New Jersey. Luis also organized, fundraised and worked directly with now congressman Albio Sires in securing his first political office as Mayor of West New York, NJ which was followed by Mr. Sires Congressional office election victory. Both Menendez and Sires are alumni of the Latin-American Kiwanis Club, which Moro was a founding member and continues to be a major contributor in the State of New Jersey. During Moro’s Kiwanis leadership he created and produced several concert events fundraisers with Latin Artist; Celia Cruz, Johnny Pacheco, Alvarez Guedes and many other artist. The Latin-American Kiwanis continue to deliver community events and contributions like the Cuban Day Parade.

TRANSFORMATION, a gift of life
Luis was a corporate business consultant in New York before transferring his skills to young adults and gang members. He lead transformational seminars and programs for "New York Youth at Risk" and "Students for a Better Tomorrow" at Crenshaw High School, in Crenshaw, California. His direct one on one and group training of both male and female youth and adults at risk alike; gives Moro a transformational approach to collaboration and producing results with a diverse range of people on projects.

RUTGERS UNIVERSITY, Go Scarlet Knights
He’s a graduate of Rutgers University, were he also studied acting at Mason Gross School of The Arts, while lettering three years as Strong Safety for the Rutgers Scarlet Knight football team. He earned an NCAA award for football. Luis is a proud alumni of Phi Gamma Delta, “FIJI”, fraternity.

HISPANIC WORLDS FAIR Moro creates Hispanics Unite
Upon graduating from Rutgers, Luis became the executive director of the Hispanic Worlds Fair at the Jacob Javits Convention Center, founded by Hispanic Corporate Achievers, Inc Chairman Daniel Ramos. The Hispanic Worlds Fair was the first and longest running target marketing production in America focusing on the Hispanic Market.
Luis created and pioneered the breakthrough marketing campaign: “Hispanics United” which united efforts by government agencies, media, corporate sponsors, educational institutions, and employers to empower the U.S. Hispanic Population. The annual event instantly became the first major indoor event where all media and corporate sponsors united their efforts to benefit the U.S Hispanic population.
The Hispanic World’s Fair was anchored by local, national and global Latin entertainment reaching millions of Hispanics; giving Latinos the opportunity to learn how to empower themselves while simultaneously developing brand loyalty for the participating sponsors, organizations and political figures.
Accolades and continuous endorsements were given by political figures who had foresight into the future of the Hispanic market. Luis received proclamations from Sen. Bob Menendez, Mayor Rudy Giuliani, Mayor Koch, Mayor David Dinkins, then Governor Mario Cuomo and The United Nations amongst others.
Performing entertainers included Marc Anthony, Celia Cruz, Jose Feliciano, Charytin, Chayanne, TKA, The cover Girls, Yomo Toro, Charo, Latin Soap stars, radio personalities and Folkloric groups representing all Latin Countries.
The united media included; SBS Broadcasting, WADO, WBLS, Univision, Telemundo, El Diaro La Prensa, El Especial and most other Latin Media including The New York Times, ABC, NBC, CBS, HOT 103, Corporate sponsors included Coca-Cola, Pepsi, AT&T, Proctor and Gamble and many others.
A highlight of the annual production was Luis being the first and only producer to bring the most popular, longest running program on Latin Television, “Sabado Gigante” to present itself live from New York City in front of a sold out “United Hispanic” audience at the Jacob Javits Convention Center. This was the first and only time the Javits Center has been closed due to over crowding. Luis gives much credit to his on-going results to his years at The Hispanic Worlds Fair and Hispanic Corporate Achievers Scholarship Fund working with Mr. Ramos.
