How long have you been doing comedy?
I've been doing comedy since birth. I think we're all jokes from birth. Some people will be offended by that statement, that's the joke. And if we're lucky we get the joke of life and never forget it. Taking ourselves to serious maybe the worst sin a person can commit.

Where did you start performing stand-up comedy?
I first hit the stand-up comedy stage at the Comedy Store Belly room. I was then fortunate enough to run Thursday Night Funnies at The Comedy Store Belly room for a year with the shows Host Bobby Shrophire. She was my first true comedy mentor.

Why do you do stand-up comedy and make films?
I simply love all arts. The emotional connection required to be successful at stand-up comedy is a natural high for me. The same is true for filmmaking. The experience of a filmmaking crew focused on creating the same story is exceptional.

How do you balance family, filmmaking and stand-up comedy?
My wife balances the family, a great film crew balances filmmaking and my desire for creativity that can have audiences laugh keeps me writing and performing comedy.
What advice would you give a starting comic?
I think once you realize that you will always be a starting comic, you can do no wrong. You might get booed off stage, but you can learn a lot from that.
Who is your favorite Comedian?
I truly love them all. I really appreciate what it takes to make it in all areas of the business of comedy.
