Three Las Vegas buddies (Thomas, Faison, Guerra) stumble upon the score of a lifetime. They have to walk a fine line between the mobsters (Polito, Ben-Victor, Benrubi) who want them dead, and their girlfriends (Pressly, Sims, Sanchez) who want their heads. The buddies quickly learn, whether it's love or crime, you gotta be ready to do the time

What did Moro Films do on Venus & Vegas?

We where work for hire Producers and co-production company. Both are very distinct in the entertainment business. Much can be said about them. We specifically came on to this film project on the investors behalf. The investors hired us to reorganize the production and deliver the film underbudget and on-time.

We where able to deliver a finished film production in 23 days, 3.5 million shooting in Los Angeles and Las Vegas. Before our team took over the production schedule was heading over 40 days, costing over 5 million, and this did not include shooting on location in a Las Vegas Casino.

We also worked directly with the theatrical distributor to maximize the studio quality release with independent filmmaking sensibilities. See Venus & Vegas at a theatre near you nation-wide (500-1000 screens) this February 2009.

Tell us more about the actual production.

Venus and Vegas has fantastic production value.

Do to the studio skills and indie sensibilities we have, we made our 3.5 million budget look like 10 milliion on the screen.

The story called for horses, stables, horse track races, close up on horse races. Locations included, Las Vegas, Casinos; we shot in the Palm Casino. We have several car chases, car crashes and car explosions. We shot in warehouses, hotels, mansions, pools, factories, the streets of Los Angeles and Las Vegas. The script really called for a lot and we delivered.

How else do you participate as a work for hire?

It's case by case, depending on the needs and experience of the investors who hire us. We are always ready to provide what's needed to secure the investors monies on the screen. At the same time we are great at strictly supporting a directors team vision with out wasting the investors or producers teams assets. We have the experience and know how to adapt to the specfic creative vision requirements needed to full fill on the realities of physical production. When investors hire us, we focus on the reality of their investment.
