Synopsis: Shot on location in Havana, Cuba. This is a love story of a man who goes to Cuba and discovers the one thing between love and Suicide. 

A bilingual feature length film that pulls you right into life in Havanaa. American tourist Tomas (Kamar De Los Reyes) finds himself in the moment between ending his life or forgiving his past.

This moment brings Tomas to Havana, Cuba. An island of spiritual freedom from material wants. During his journey audiences get to experience for themselves the undinable power Cuban’s have  beyond worldly possessions.

The making of Cuba's Love and Suicide was a life long dream. I was born in Cuba and grew up in the United States right in the middle of all the politics between both countries. I'm blessed to have an incredible team of fellow filmmakers, talent and community that helped make this film the success it is today.

Through the years I've learned that there truely are many sides to all stories. I personally don't condone or support the current Cuban government's system. At the same time, I don't condone or support the U.S. Governments failed 47 year old embargo policy against Cuba. All political leaders in both countries have failed to colaborate for the good of the citizens of the world.

Ironcilly, Cuba's Love and Suicide is not a political film in anyway. The movie is a love story of Tomas (Kamar de los Reyes) who goes to Cuba and discovers the one thing between love and suicide.

We've stated, and many audiences agree; this Cuba film is your, our, the U.S., the worlds, love letter to the people of Cuba. Audiences agree the message delivered through the humar, laughs, love and tears is universal. This is a mature family film for the entire family. Not rated; kid friendly film.

How did Cuba's Love & Suicide make history?

We're the first and only feature length film shot on location in Havana, Cuba; by American filmmakers in fifty years. Many great filmmakers having been trying to make movies in Cuba. But do to U.S. politics, they can't. As humans, we believe in the right to free speech and travel so we decided to simply go make our feature film with out having to ask any government if we can express ourselves. This film truely captures life in Havana, Cuba.

How did you last so long in major movie theatres?

First and foremost, thanks to people who see the movie and still keep telling everyone to see. It helps that the movie is great. But ultimately it's the film fans who love Cuba and can't get enough of it. This love story is so unique it continues to make everyone laugh and cry practically at the same time. Of course the theatres loved the fact that audiences keep coming back, so theatres sell lost of tickets. We played for 8 months and ended with a 10 week screening run under the prestigues AMC Theatres Indie Select Program.
